Tour programme:
DAY 1: PRAGUE – BELIZE BY AIR
Welcome meeting with a representative of the local partner, visit to the black howler monkey reserve, walk and observation of these primates which are known for their very loud communication especially when protecting their territory, accommodation.
DAY 2: ACTUN TUNICHIL MUKNAL
A challenging hike with an experienced guide and modern equipment, only for travelers in good physical condition; the mysterious and complex cave system served as a Mayan sacrificial site and partly as a burial site; the journey to the caves involves a half-kilometer stretch of difficult climbing among the rocks, as well as wading or swimming through one and a half meter deep water.
DAY 3: XUNANTUNICH
Tour of Mayan sites; El Castillo pyramid and fascinating views of the surrounding area; Cahal Pech – the ancient residence of the royal Mayan family.
DAY 4: FLIGHT TO SAN PEDRO
En route, stop at Jaguar Paw Park; ride on inflatable tubes in the caves and “zip line”- a ride on pulleys in the treetops, flight from Belize City to San Pedro and transfer to your accommodation.
DAY 5: HOL CHAN
Hol Chan Marine Nature Reserve – an unforgettable snorkeling experience in the “shark and ray alley” on the coral barrier.
DAY 6: FREE DAY
A free day perfect for relaxation.
DAY 7: DEPARTURE FROM BELIZE BACK TO EUROPE
