  • What is the ideal time to visit?
    The best time to visit is from May to September, when temperatures are pleasant ((18-24 °C) and rainfall is minimal.
  • Can I get a direct flight from Prague to the Azores?
    Yes, from June to September there are direct flights from Prague to São Miguel (Ponta Delgada Airport), usually once a week. The flight takes approximately 4.5 hours. Outside this season, it is possible to reach the Azores with a connection in Lisbon or Porto, from where there are regular flights to the main Azores islands.
  • What to pack for the Azores?
    Sturdy shoes, rain gear and a warmer layer – the weather can change quickly, headwear, sunglasses and sunscreen.
  • How can I transport myself between islands?
    Transportation is provided by ferries and domestic flights. Connections are seasonal, so we recommend planning your itinerary in advance.
  • Do I need a visa for the Azores?
    The Azores are part of the European Union, so citizens of the EU can only travel with a valid ID.
