What is the best time for an active holiday in Mallorca?
The best time of year to go on active holidays is March to June and September to November, when it is not extremely hot and nature is green. The spring months are popular with cyclists and walkers – it’s pleasantly warm but not hot, and the island is not yet crowded. The summer months (July-August) are more for swimming and staying by the sea, as the mountains tend to be too hot for longer hikes. - Where can I find the best views in Mallorca?
Top spots include the viewpoints at Cap de Formentor, Sa Calobra, Mirador Ses Barques, Puig de Randa or the GR221 route through the Tramuntana mountains. - Can I rent a bike in Mallorca?
Yes, Mallorca is one of the best-equipped destinations for cyclists – there are plenty of bike rental shops for all categories of bikes: from road bikes for sports cycling to mountain MTBs to electric bikes and children’s models. The highest concentration of quality rental shops is around Palma, Alcúdia, Can Picafort and Port de Pollença, where you can also book your bike online in advance. The bikes are often new or in excellent condition and you can also rent a helmet, bike panniers or GPS navigation. - Where are the best cycle paths in Mallorca?
Some of the best cycle paths on the island include the Serra de Tramuntana, which offers twists and turns with spectacular sea views, and the Sa Calobra, which is one of the most popular routes starting in Port de Pollença and ending on the beautiful coastline. In addition, there are other routes that offer the opportunity to explore different parts of the island and experience its beauty and history, such as the route around Lake Llucmajor or the route from Palma de Mallorca to Andratx.
