Tour Program:

DAY 1: PRAGUE – ENTEBBE

Fly to Uganda – Entebbe; transfer to the hotel and rest after a long journey.

2. DAY: ENTEBBE – NP MURCHINSON FALLS

After breakfast, transfer to the amazing Murchinson Falls with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – tropical vegetation to a rhino rescue station which you will observe at close range; arrival at the boundary of the largest NP in Uganda, Murchinson Falls – the park includes the Victoria Nile Falls; the fifty metre wide river plunges through a gorge only five metres wide to a depth of 43 metres; first encounter with the sounds of the African night.

3. DAY 1: NP MURCHINSON FALLS

Morning classic safari with animal viewing on the north side of the Nile (buffalo, antelope, giraffe, lions); afternoon boat safari to the falls with observation of life in and around the water (crocodiles, hippos, water birds, elephants and many others).

DAY 4 – 5: NP KIBALE

Early breakfast and departure to Kibale NP; the following day chimpanzee tracking in the lush rainforest vegetation (besides chimpanzees, up to 10 other primate species, butterflies and birds can be seen), it is about a 4 hour walk in the tropical rainforest over rough terrain; afternoon hike to Bigodi wetlands.

6. DAY 6: NP QUEEN ELIZABETH

Early morning transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP via Fort Portal; afternoon boat safari on the Kazinga Nature Channel to the mouth of Lake Edward; depending on time, evening classic safari.

7. DAY 7: QUEEN ELIZABETH NP – BWINDI NP

Morning safari with the Ruwenzori massif in the background; transfer to Bwindi NP, drive through picturesque landscapes through mountains, tropical jungle, bamboo forests, as well as past lakes and terraced fields – we will pass through the so-called Switzerland of Africa; possibility to visit the unique salt lakes in the Katwe area on the way.

8. DAY: BWINDI NP

Gorilla tracking in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest; the duration of the trek itself depends on the current presence of the assigned gorilla family, good physical condition is considered a must – it involves several hours of walking and sometimes a steep climb or descent in dense vegetation, a maximum of one hour can be spent in the presence of the gorilla family.

9. DAY: NP BWINDI – ENTEBBE

After breakfast, morning/afternoon transfer from Bwindi NP to Entebbe, rest at the hotel and the following morning transfer to Kenya.

DAY 10 – 11: LAKES NAIVASHA AND NAKURU

Transfer from Nairobi to Lake Naivasha – boat ride to Crescent Island, close-up hippo viewing; walking safari around the island (herds of giraffe and antelope); Lake Nakuru NP – great chance to see rhino up close, flocks of pelicans and flamingos, Rothschild’s giraffe, great waterbuck, warthog, buffalo, lion, leopard or baboon.

DAY 12 – 14: NP LAKE NAKURU – MASAI MARA RESERVE

After breakfast transfer to Masai Mara, afternoon arrival, lunch and start of safari.

Masai Mara is a world famous park where the annual “Great Migration” takes place. This migration usually starts in late July/August and the animals migrate back during October. You will be familiar with the television footage of the endless masses of animals, especially the millions of wildebeest, zebra, giraffes and others making their annual journey between the two parks, Tanzania’s Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara. Along with the ungulates, elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, as well as vultures, marabou storks and other scavengers, move through.

DAY 15 – 16: TRANSFER TO NAIROBI AND RETURN TO THE CZECH REPUBLIC

Departure back to Nairobi, lunch at the famous Carnivore restaurant and transfer to the airport, evening flight back to the Czech Republic, return the following day.
